Arriving at Club 33

This is Part 2 of my Disneyland "Club 33" series. After checking in at Guest Relations (outside the park), visitors to Club 33 are given a 1 day park hopper ticket.

The entrance to Club 33 can be found just to the right of the entrance to the Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square.

Club 33 is named after it's street address, 33 Royal St.

Behind this small brass plate is a doorbell. After ringing, a host/hostess will answer via the intercom.

After being buzzed in, guests check in at this host/hostess station just inside the doorway. The candlestick telephone actually works!

If we turn back around, we have a better view of the stained glass window that we saw above the doorway outside.

To our left is an old-fashioned "French Lift" elevator.

For guests that prefer not to ride in the elevator, there is a stairway.

We'll take the elevator....but it only holds 4 people at a time. It's a very tight fit!

This is the landing at the top of the stairway.

There is another host/hostess station just to the left of the elevator. Guests are greeted here and then escorted to their tables. Those are menus sitting on the small table.

On the way to our table, we pass a telephone booth that was used in the film, "The Happiest Millionaire."

Fred MacMurray and Greer Garson stood here!

After proceeding down "Lounge Alley" (which we will see in a future post), we arrive at our table located in the Main Dining Room.

There are still more parts to come in this series! Next we'll take a look at some of the food at Club 33.

Thanks Dave and VDT....I wish there would be some sort of DL event (like the Knott's Preserved event) where we could all go to Club 33 together!

Thank you for commenting Annie! Keep checking back....I think I have enough photos for about 5 more parts to this series!
