Some of them were shaped like little lanterns and had little plastic figures or scenes inside of them. That is probably what they were going for here.TokyoMagic!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16340756514811789233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440013033477237104.post-59061088264278916692011-12-25T10:14:02.784-08:002011-12-25T10:14:02.784-08:00My gosh, I am way behind on

My mom used to have some plastic ornaments that looked very much like that.Major Pepperidgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09843598326995116014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440013033477237104.post-49211940295608480032011-12-24T12:59:03.646-08:002011-12-24T12:59:03.646-08:00Thanks, Mike! The presents look a bit grody though...they didn't hold up so well. This place feels like a scene out of some apocalyptic movie starring Will Smith or Bruce Willis.

The giant jack-in-the-box doesn't help either. If I were a kid of six, that thing would have scared the bageebees out of me. That Easter Bunny and Pumpkin head too...although he's hilarious there in the photo, kicked back upon the ground as guests walk by. :)Snow White Archivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04715594290214114608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440013033477237104.post-52804065094065919612011-12-23T03:47:35.561-08:002011-12-23T03:47:35.561-08:00Man these images sure make me sad. I grew up in San Diego, but we made about two trips a year.....a Summer and Winter...One thing that is embedded in my memory is the smell of pine trees and crisp cool air--even in the Summer. Great posts.MIKE COZARThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03616421722228113410noreply@blogger.com
